What We Can Do to Help

There are so many ways individuals can make a difference! The first and most important thing to always keep in mind is that one person can make an important difference!

1. Remember the 3 R's! Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
2. Walk, bike, car pool, or use public transportation whenever you can.
3. Pay attention to the products you buy! If they are packaged in such a way that an abundance of unnecessary materials are used choose a similar product that is not so wasteful! For example, microwave popcorn vs. a bag of popcorn seeds.
4. Reuse whatever you can. Throwing away and buying new is not always necessary. By fixing what you have you cut donw on over-use and pollution!
5. Share your feelings with others and get them involved in the cause.
6. Recycle everything you can! Find out what can and cannot be recycled in your city and take the time to do it.
7. THE BIGGIE! REDUCE the amount of products you purchase. This is a tough one for American's who are used to buying new whenever the chance arrives. Reducing what you buy and what resources you use is the first step to preventing further pollution and over-consumption! The less you buy the less you throw away!

Choose Prevention Over Clean-up!!
